I went to the doctor for a minor procedure today, and they gave me a mild sedative. It was short-acting and I was back to my old self within an hour…but that night before I took my night time medication I thought to check to see if there was any risk involved or as we say in the “biz” contraindications.
Two things happened. One was YES! There was a moderate risk and it was not a good idea to take my meds for another 24 hours. Sencondly, I found an excellent website that you can just type in the names of your medications, and they do the ‘math’ for you. For us caregivers, it might be a good idea to do this with our parents meds. The website site is aptly named DRUGS.COM and the specific page that you can go to is HERE
